03 Oct A Look Back at Secret Seven Exhibition
As the annual Secret Seven art event gets ready to launch for another year, I’ve been reminiscing about when I took part last year.
For those that don’t know, Secret Seven is an annual exhibition that raises money for a worthy cause. Artists are encouraged to submit work for album covers. Seven tracks by seven singers/groups are chosen in advance and reproduced 700 times, with each album sleeve displaying a unique piece of art by an anonymous artist.
The public are given the opportunity to view the unique artistic album covers at a special exhibition at London’s Somerset House during April/May and they are then sold off for £50 a piece for charity.
Among the thousands of hopefuls I was lucky enough to have my creative work chosen for Black Sabbath’s Age of Reason song cover in 2014 and attended the exhibition in London.
